Isak trays and cups March 24, 2009

I’m a big fan of Scandinavian design especially these funky Blossom and Bill trays and Leaf and Lovebird cups by Isak from Cloudberry Living. It would certainly bring a smile to your face if your morning cup of tea was served on Bill’s hairy chest and Blossom’s nipples! And the lidded cups would be great for taking out into the garden as they’d keep so much warmer than ordinary mugs. I wish I had a garden *sigh*.

While on the theme of ceramics, I thought I’d share these marvellous porcelain labels from Dee Puddy with you. I have an anally retentive streak and the thought of labelling all my goodies with them is almost too much to bear. I would even buy Earl Grey tea just so I could label it (I suppose I could drink it so it wasn’t wasted!) Ooh, I’ve got my organising head on now!

Nicolette Owen’s pretty home March 11, 2009

Saw Nicolette‘s beautiful home on Design*Sponge and I really want a house in all shades of blue now. What do you think?

So many gorgeous plants too. I have about three plants in the whole apartment and it’s a struggle to keep them alive. But I do love fresh flowers and try to get some every week if I can. At the moment I’m loving hyacinths which I put in tiny blue and white striped jugs in my sitting room. So spring like but not as obvious as daffodils (though I love daffs too!)

I’d be so tempted to buy these David Shrigley salt and pepper pots if they were a little bit cheaper. Can you imagine the look on your mum’s face if she came to dinner? Priceless!

I didn’t think I could find anything that would make drying up fun but I think this hilarious tea towel ($40 AUS) from Third Drawer Down in Australia might just have done it.

Baileys Confit Jar and Spoon February 12, 2009

I’m very tempted to have a trip to Herefordshire to Baileys Home and Garden to check out their fantastic range of homeware, like this confit jar and wiggly spoon. I know you can buy online but I rather fancy a rootle through their stock in person. I imagine having a confit jar like this filled with jam for breakfast guests. Note to self: must learn to make jam.

I’m in love with these dinky Flower Measuring Spoons from Beehive Kitchenware. And the best thing is, you can get them in the UK here.
